It's a Funny Story Book 3

Star rating: ★★★★★

Blurb

The bad news? Getting hit by a cab can officially get crossed off my bucket list.

The worse news? While I’ve woken up from my coma, the man I’m in love with hasn’t stirred from his.

And the most terrible news of all? A pregnant woman is at his bedside, holding his hand, and saying that he’s the father of her baby.

Sammy Baker is a divorced, single mom trying to find her way again. With two boys and an absent ex-husband, she’s got the world on her shoulders and Legos under her feet.

Amid the chaos lives the dream of, one day, finding love again.

Though, she didn’t think that would land her smack-dab in the middle of two men.

Will Sammy choose the successful businessman who doesn’t hesitate to tell her he’s interested? Or will she go for the eligible bachelor doctor with a constant influx of women vying for his attention?

The smart choice and what the heart wants are two different things. And sometimes, fate has a way of making it so the choice isn’t ours at all.

My Thoughts:

I have been really enjoying this series so I picked this one up even though I usually don't like love triangles or amnesia. However, I'm glad I did!

I loved Sammy and her hero so much! He fell for her so hard and it was really cute. I also liked that this book was dual POV despite being a love triangle. It just switched to dual POV after we knew who the hero was (I was pretty sure the whole time but it was confirmed). One thing that melts my heart in a romance is a hero who bonds with the heroine's kids and this book did that so well!

Cluelessly Yours also played with time in a really fun way! It started at the climax kinda like a TV show then went back to the beginning. I allowed the authors to play with suspense in a way romance can't usually pull off without adding a crazy ex or a serial killer.

Finally, this story is funny, has cute (but also hilariously misbehaving) children, and badass divorced mom figuring out life in NYC. I read the previous titles but this story could be read as a standalone. I do think reading Accidental Attachment first would improve the experience though! I am really hoping for more books in this series. I think Zoey could nanny in grad school and fall for a single dad. Just and idea 😊

Spice - 🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Several open door scenes with some kisses and foreplay.

Narration - 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 - I listened to the audiobook version of Cluelessly Yours and adored it! Sebastian York who romance audiobook listeners may know from the Knockemout series and Elizabeth Louise who listeners may know from icebreakers both did a fantastic job! I recommend this audiobook to everyone!

Thanks to Netgalley and Max Monroe for providing me with early access to this title in order to review. All opinions are my own.
